Paris: CDG to Latin Qtr by RER?06 Sep 2003 08:12 GMT3
IS it comfortable, convenient, and inexpesive to travel from de Gaulle
Airport to the Port Royal or Luxembourg  Stations using the RER 'B'
line?   Do either ofthese stations have escalators or lifts up to
street level, so that luggage doesn't have to be carried up steps?

Dublin Neighborhoods?06 Sep 2003 02:11 GMT3
Been looking for hotels (& B&B's) in Dublin.  Seems that many are in
the southern area of the city or the southern suburbs.  However there
also are places in the northern city centre area that are somewhat
less expensive and seem more convenient to airport, sights, etc.
anti-French comments on UK guided tour05 Sep 2003 18:58 GMT33
Last Friday, one of the guides (yeomen) at the Tower of London made
several anti-French comments. They weren't 'jokes' per se, just silly
stuff like "of course, we (!) don't like the French, ha-ha-ha" and so
on. This was repeated several times.

Using adapters in Paris05 Sep 2003 09:23 GMT1
I have a lap top which has an adapter to recharge the batteries.  I'm
concerned there may be a voltage difference and my adapter wouldn't
work.  Is that true?  Is there some way I can charge the batteries?
Would a hotel be likely to provide an adapter if one is needed?

European Mobility Week (Car-free days)04 Sep 2003 23:47 GMT7
Just a short message to let you all know that the European Mobility Week (
18 -22 September) is due later this month. Just like Labour day is a public
holiday, so several cities celebrate the Mobility Week by organising a
car-free day on which private motor vehicles may not be used ...

I´m going to London next week with my 13-year old daughter. Last year, we
went to Paris and got a "Paris visite" ticket for several days for the
metro. I can´t find something like this for the London underground. Are
there only one-day or seven days tickets (apart from single ...
