Amsterdam in November14 Oct 2003 08:14 GMT14
Because of circumstances I had to cancel an October trip to Italy.
(Great disappointment!)
Since there is a very good fare to Amsterdam, I wonder if early November
is a decent time for a week there?

I have a 1 hr time to get from Terminal 2F to Terminal 2C. I have had
problems with connections at this airport in the past. How does one get from
Terminal 2, Hall F to Terminal 2, Hall C? Do you have to go outside, take a

Bus ticketing in central London13 Oct 2003 23:36 GMT3
On a recent trip to London I was surprised to see how many people wating at
bus stops were apparently unaware that (since last August) you have to get a
valid ticket *before* boarding any bus in the central area. This makes it
even more sensible to get a pass such a 'Travelcard', or ...

Query About Danger of Traveling in Spain13 Oct 2003 18:48 GMT5
I have made airline reservations to visit Spain at the end of October and
had planned to take a train from Madrid to Granada and then pick up a rental car
and drive around to see the historic sights as I have done several times in
Italy.  However, my wife has been reading guidebooks ...
Hotels in Groningen13 Oct 2003 18:33 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a cheap hotel in Groningen or one of the nearby
suburbs which has a railway station. It's quite hard to find such
places from the various hotel sites which seem to define cheap as
USD/EUR 100+ per double room.

First time traveller to Germany13 Oct 2003 15:25 GMT4
It's festival time where I live (India), so season's greetings to all.
I hope to travel to Paderborn in Germany for the first time next week.
So almost any guidance/information you can provide will help me a lot.
In particular, I was hoping that you could provide some information on
B&B's in Italy13 Oct 2003 14:30 GMT2
I often see questions about B&B's in Italy, and I usually respond by
saying that they are still somewhat rare in Italy. This month, the
monthly magazine of Touring Club Italiano has an article about B&B's in
Rome and Naples, and some of those they mention sound very interesting

I'm travelling from Hawaii and am going to be in Madrid in November.

Cheap Dover/Calais Jan 04 Crossing?12 Oct 2003 23:32 GMT4
I may be travelling to the continent in mid-January for about 11 days with
my car.  Any special offers going?
All else being equal I would prefer to take Le Shuttle, but I know it's
often more expensive than the ferries.
