Im planning to travel to london on December 6, 7 and 8, and I have read that
December 8 is public holiday there. I have already been in London for 3
times, but never in public holidays.
Will the main shops of the center (Oxfor St, Regent St,...) be closed?...

We're going to France later this month. We were thinking about going to
England for a day, but found out that apparently if costs about $80 per
person to cross the Chunnel. Is this true? Are there cheaper alternatives?

I will be staying in Paris for a week in the Spring and I was hoping
that someone would be able to recommend a hotel for me. I don't know
the areas well, but I think that I would prefer staying in a hotel
located on the right bank.

rates for calls from Italy to the US. It's called Edicard Europa & USA.
You can get it wherever lottery tickets are sold, as it's sold by the
same agency.
