FYI
Ryanair does NOT refund airport taxes if you don't fly, although the
AUC (Air Transport Users Council ) recommends all airlines to do so.
Easyjet does.
Little Piles of Stones...07 Oct 2003 19:45 GMT8
Years ago I took a trip to Norway.  I noticed that, whenever I was at a
particularly nice vista, there were many little piles of stones.  Some

elaborate.  Nearly all seemed to have been made with some attempt at a
How far is Sta. Eulalia from Ibiza town?07 Oct 2003 15:59 GMT30
Is travel to the center of Ibiza pretty easy from Sta. Eulalia? Buses,

Trying to pick hotels for rome and florence.  Found some air and hotel
packages I liked.  Please comment because I really need to pick one
for each city.  If anyone has stayed at the hotels I'm asking about,
it will be wonderful if you will share your experiences and
Ireland07 Oct 2003 14:17 GMT10
We are going to the Republic or Ireland in July 2004.  Being Americans, we
don't want to drive on the left side of the road, so renting a car is not a
good option.  We'll arrive in Dublin and want to go to Cork, Ring of Kerry,
the usual tourist things.  Other than renting a car, how ...

I will be staying in an apartment in Rome for four weeks starting

One variety bites by day, another by night
The guide books I read did not mention this threat, so I was
totally unprepared.
Split to Trieste/Venice07 Oct 2003 10:20 GMT5
Whilst on holiday this summer, met a family travelling the above
route, who had taken the SNAV hydrofoil, only to get turned back after
an hour because of rough seas - must have been horrendous, as these
craft are bouncy even on a millpond ! They were (presumably) refunded

before my trip to Paris.  It is informative and entertaining.  Are there
Wait in Vienna Airport - what to do?07 Oct 2003 07:25 GMT8
I'm going to spend 4 hours in Vienna Airport in two weeks' time, and
am wondering just what to spend the time doing.
Is there a WiFi hotspot there? Or are we talking about a thick book?

Photo Opportunities in Florence07 Oct 2003 03:52 GMT6
I am looking for suggestions for good Exterior photo sites in the city of
Florence (not the famous art treasures inside the galleries and churches).
Anything you like would be interesting to me and most appreciated. Thank
you.
Greece - Sites closed before Olympics?07 Oct 2003 00:02 GMT4
What tourist sites in Athens and the Greek Islands (specifically
Santorini and Mykanos) will still be closed for the last week of
December 2003?  I hear that they are refurbishing many sites
(including the National Archeological Museum) in preparation for the
