Vienna or Salzburg09 Nov 2003 19:01 GMT3
After some feedback that I might have overrated Vienna in the winter,
I'm now considering visting Salzburg instead of Vienna. I've never
visited Austria before, would bypassing Vienna be a wise choice? (for
someone who may never have the opportunity to come back to Austria for
experience with operators that offer day-trips from rome and florence?09 Nov 2003 18:35 GMT3
Am in the midst of planning our 10 day long trip to Italy early next
year.  Since one of us MUST hit Venice while the other MUST hit
Pompeii, I decided the easiest and most expeditious way would be to do
the daytrip offered by several companies.

First of all, many thanks for your posts on London.  We had a
fantastic time there, but we would have not visited the British
Library (which was truly inspiring) if it was not for your kind
replies to my question of "10 do-not-miss" in London.

need a hotel/B&B for one night in London, doesn't have to be dirt cheap, but
don't wanna pay through the nose either.

I was thinking of visiting Vienna in the first week of December. Will
it be snowing in Vienna then, or is it too early to enjoy a 'white
