Travel in Italy15 Dec 2003 15:01 GMT40
We've been to Italy twice on a cruise, but now want to fly there and do
it on our own.  We were thinking of Rome, Florence, and Naples for a
total of two weeks.  I know there is a train one can take from each of
these cities, but how do you go about getting tickets?  Do you just ...
Gambia, Canaries or somewhere else warm, lastminute-dot-com15 Dec 2003 12:49 GMT4
Hi folks
The desire for a 'lastminute' holiday to warm place over Xmas is
becoming too strong to ignore :-).
Don't really want to do long-haul at thsi time, with kids in tow.

We are having a long week-end in the Malaga area in January.
Does anyone have any good ideas on a place to stay or places to go ?
Thanks in anticipation,

finding a dentist in London15 Dec 2003 10:30 GMT10
I'm looking for help on finding a dentist in London (UK). I moved here at
the start of the year and so far haven't had much luck.
I recently went to one for a cleaning/check-up and the entire process lasted
about 3-5 minutes. No electrical instruments were used and no scaling or
Flight from Munich to Buchareset15 Dec 2003 09:49 GMT4
Hi Usenet,
Does anyone know of a cheap airline that flies from Munich to Bucharest?
My usuals, Ryanair and Easy Jet don't.
Thanks in advance,
Narbonne - Flying to from UK15 Dec 2003 09:46 GMT3
I need to get to Narbonne for the weekend 16/19 Jan 2003.
The two closest airports appear to be Perpignan and Carcassonne, both
serviced by RyanAir.
Does anyone know which provides the easiest bus/rail links to Narbonne.
Night Trains15 Dec 2003 09:22 GMT11
Looking for stories, experiences, and advice regarding night train
travel in east/west europe.  I lived in Germany for a few years and
traveled extensively throughout eastern/western europe and took the
night trains many times, and it seems very peculiar things happen on
JFK to Pau, France ??15 Dec 2003 07:10 GMT1
Checking into flights, it seems like this is going to be an awkward
place to get to.
And it's not clear to me that a given routing is the best.
Would I be better off to fly to Paris and take the train south (seems
Carrara (IT)15 Dec 2003 04:04 GMT3
I'll be in Florence in early Feb (approx 7-14) and trying to determine
if a daytrip to Carrara is feasible.  I see the train takes only about
an hour, but that takes me to the town.  I am interested in seeing the
marble quarries (which I saw once at a distance from the highway).
Question on Italian train ticketts15 Dec 2003 02:40 GMT8
I've always used a Eurailpass so am somewhat unfamiliar with Italian
railroad ticketing.  Is a ticket between two cities good no matter what
route you use?  To give an actual example - this year we went from
Verona to Pistoia, but there are three straightforward routes one can
Eastern Canada14 Dec 2003 15:28 GMT7
I have 12 days to spend in Montreal, Quebec City and all of Nova Scotia.
How should I divide my time between these 3 areas?
I am thinking 2 days Montreal, 3 days Quebec City, 1 day travel (by plane)
to Nova Scotia and 6 days in Nova Scotia.
Aliyah's bike14 Dec 2003 13:02 GMT6
I found just the tricycle I'm looking for for her. It's 12 inches
instead of 10 inches. Could be a bit big for her now- but the 10 inches
says 2 1/2 to 4 and the 12 inch wheels were for 3 to 5. She may have to
grow into it a bit- but she'll get there.
Request: where to put link of touristic web portal?14 Dec 2003 12:56 GMT3
Advice me on how to propagate my touristic web portal.
I'm ready to put some banners on commercial or noncommercial sites, but I
don't know wich sites are good for that (sites with good visit stats, and
with similar profile)
London to Oxford: Bus or Train?14 Dec 2003 03:25 GMT6
I will be in the London during early January and plan to go to the Oxford
Science Museum for a day trip. I will be staying in South Kensington and
wish to know if bus or train travel would be best.
Thanks.
Driving time from northern Portugal to Carcassonne?14 Dec 2003 00:31 GMT6
I am pondering driving from northern Portugal to Carcassonne. I do not know
northern Spain, nor the Pyrenees, nor the region south of Carcassonne. Am I
mad to consider the drive, since I have no time to tarry en route for
sightseeing, or is this doable? I had considered flying from ...
