I personally have never missed a flight. My wife did once flying back to France from California with a plane switch at NY. JFK was pretty snowed in, one runway open. She had called TWA and they lied to her saying that NY "was open" so she took the SF flight only go have to fly ...

I am moving to Luxembourg in Febuary and am having problems finding accomadation, I need tempory accomadation for about 2 months, the only hostel I can find only lets you book for 1 week and is open dorms, hotels are way to expensive, a cheap one would be in excess of 3000
