We are going to Portugal for Euro 2004. Will be in Lisboa for about 1 week in earlly June. All my searches have turned up are 1 star hotels or 5 star hotels for that time period. We want to be comfortable but don't want to spend $500 per night. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Any comments would be appreciated. Never been there (Europe); always had a hankering to see the 'Rhineland' (note my posting name) and the town/crossroads/area of similar spelling in Northern Germany (Kroessen or Krossen) I think.
