Gift for traveller25 Jan 2004 22:00 GMT16
Have a female friend who will be traveling around the world as lightly
as possible, and wondered what a good present would be for her.  She
is doing it over 12 months and will be traveling alone.  So I guess
something more useful than nice to look at would be good! :-)

travelocity vs. expedia25 Jan 2004 20:48 GMT19
I have used travelocity many times without any problems but I just found a
better fare for my next trip on expedia.  Anyone have any problems with using
expedia?
Thanks
BARCELONA-FOOD25 Jan 2004 20:44 GMT5
I will be going to Barcelona next month for a few days.  I will probably
stay in the Las Ramblas ---- and wonder if anyone has a recommendation
for a good place to have Tapas.  I seem to vaguely remember a place
close to Placa Catalunya but can not remember details.
Traveling with Patent Medicine25 Jan 2004 20:05 GMT34
As per subject.  I know prescription drugs require you carry  a copy of
the prescription or doctors orders;  but what about more common pills
like vitamins, pepto bismol tablets, Ibuprofen, antacid tablets, etc...?
Sealed original package ...sure...but what if I don't want to take ...
Nou Camp Staduim in Barcelona25 Jan 2004 16:23 GMT3
My husband and I are planning to go to a match at Barceona FC on 1

We've been told which metro stations we need to get there, but I was
wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get back into the city
Girona Airport to Andorra25 Jan 2004 12:36 GMT1
I am traveling via Car from Girona Airport to Andorra to Ski in March.
Has anybody done this route and what would you recommend?
The AA route takes you back down towards Barcelona before heading
North. Or is it better to go via Perpignan.

Wife and I spent a nice New Year holiday in Vienna after driving from Munich
and back with stays in Salzburg and Garmisch.
Really was impressed particularly with reception in Austria. Probably due to CA
accepting their native son but Austrians seemed to go out of their way with
Internet access in England.24 Jan 2004 20:57 GMT9
I've never used public access Internet before, so please excuse me if
the answer to this seems self-evident.
I want to bookmark several sites and take them with me on some removable
media so that I can access them via internet cafes, libraries etc. Is this
Tipping24 Jan 2004 18:29 GMT46
My boyfriend and I are taking a trip to Western Europe. We will be
travelling in France, Germany and the Netherlands. I am not sure what
the proper etiquette is on tipping. I used to be a waitress for many
years and I want to be sure not to offend. I remember chatting with
Train strikes in France24 Jan 2004 08:01 GMT12
Today will be a poor travel day within France since the train workers
are on strike.  This also means the commuter trains in from
the banlieue.
A common reaction is for people just to "not to bother" coming to
Rental cars in Italy24 Jan 2004 02:01 GMT12
I am trying to reserve a rental car at Milan Malpensa airport, and am
astounded at the high prices. I was in Germany last year and know that
prices have moved upwards in the last couple of years, but WOW.
Does anyone know of someplace where I can research and book rental cars in
Belgium: Antwerp as a base23 Jan 2004 22:08 GMT6
Brussels hotels seem pretty expensive on the whole. Antwerp is
cheaper.
Would it be feasible to use Antwerp as a base for exploring the 3
Belgium cities of Antwerp-Brussels-Ghent, travelling by train on day

connects low fares airlines.
