Travel insurance advice ( with AXA insurance )31 Jul 2004 20:37 GMT5
After many decades of never claiming a bean off home/motor plus any other
insurances, my wife & I had just had to urgently return back to to UK during
a vacation in France because her father had died suddenly.
I am not normally the kind of person who claims on insurance, but 2 days
Warsaw or Krakow airport31 Jul 2004 18:44 GMT9
Next year I want to visit both Warsaw and Krakow.  An open jaw
sounds about right, flying into one city, taking the train between them,
and flying out of the other city.  Is there any advantage to one or the
other?  The taxi mafia is probably worse at Warsaw airport, so flying
Copenhagen Tips needed31 Jul 2004 17:43 GMT10
I'm going to Copenhagen with my gf (I am 32, she's 25) in august. We're
staying one week, in a small apartment in the south of  Norrebro, quite
close to the centre I believe. Since both of us have been there before, we'd
like not to make it like the usual touristic holiday, so we're ...
Paris Metro carnet cards31 Jul 2004 15:46 GMT3
I still have 6 or 8 little green carnet Metro cards from Paris from a few
years ago.  Does anyone know if these are good "forever" and would they
probably still be valid in the turnstile readers?  Greg Klipstein
hotel in venice near train station31 Jul 2004 15:24 GMT14
My girlfriend and I will be in Venice for 2 nights in August. I get
lost very easily, and so I'd like to find a clean hotel/hostel near
the train station so that it's easy to find, and easy to ask
directions back to if I get lost.

Barcelona Hotel Recommendations?30 Jul 2004 20:31 GMT5
Can anyone recommend good 100-125 euro per night hotels in Barcelona,
mid-September, double occupancy?  There are so many hotels that we don't
know where to begin looking.  In order of importance I would say:
1. Safe area at night.

Paris Visite vs. Mobilis30 Jul 2004 15:43 GMT3
Can anyone explain the difference between the two mentioned in the Subject
header?  When last in Paris I bought a metro pass that I thought allowed use
of the system for 7 consecutive days starting on either Monday or Tuesday.
Is my memory faulty?  And, if the current system allows ...

We are planning a 5 day car rental with pick-up in Barcelona and a drop off
in Aix-en-Provence for mid-September.  Can anyone recommend a good car
rental company?  We will be staying in Barcelona for a few days first, then
we'll pick up the car.  Should we pick up at BCN, or at the ...

October and thought I'd pop in to Ibiza for a short hit and run visit. I'll
be there towards the end of October.  I was thinking about staying 2 or 3
days  going a little bit crazy hitting a few bars and ...
