We will be renting a car in Germany and driving to Croatia.  Has anyone had
experience with this?  What can I expect at border crossings into and out of
Slovenia and Croatia.

What is the best bank to use if one plans on staying in Europe for
about a year? I think I'll be staying in the U.K. for most of my trip.

My girlfriend and I will be staying in the Cinque Terre area for 3
nights (Aug 11, 12, 13).
We are trying to find an inexpensive place to stay in any of the 5
cities. The most we can afford to spend is $50 per night per person

A friend and I are arriving Milan on 30 July 2004 and need to be in
Barcelona by 7 August. We want to visit Paris in the interim, and
