Driving to Croatia03 Aug 2004 12:27 GMT8
We will be renting a car in Germany and driving to Croatia.  Has anyone had
experience with this?  What can I expect at border crossings into and out of
Slovenia and Croatia.
The day we leave we will be driving to Livorno, Italy, estimated to be about

Have a look at http://www.europe-travel-guides.com and select Belgium ->
Antwerp there is a list of museums and other attractions. The harbour is
also worthwhile to pay a visit.
Antwerp as a base.03 Aug 2004 03:10 GMT9
We were thinking of staying in Antwerp for about four days
and taking train visits to Brugges and Ghent.
Any ideas on this, wanted to avoid Bruxelles this time.
Tour Germany On Line In 32 Minutes + Stills03 Aug 2004 02:10 GMT1
My newest film "Septemberfest" presents all of Germany's best known
places: Frankfurt's old town, a Rhine River cruise, Cologne's
Cathedral, the Hamburg red-light district, Berlin (The Wall, and other
changes since 1990), lovely Dresden, Nuremberg, the Dachau
Heinz- Kerry "shove it" journaklist gets death threats from Left.03 Aug 2004 02:01 GMT9
So typical of the left. They preach "Elmer Gantry" type compassion but
become quickly terroristic and violent with the many that might not
agree with their unworkable Marxist dogma.

Banking03 Aug 2004 00:23 GMT5
What is the best bank to use if one plans on staying in Europe for
about a year? I think I'll be staying in the U.K. for most of my trip.
Is HSBC the best bet?

Internet Connection in Europe02 Aug 2004 22:07 GMT1
Have a look at http://www.europe-travel-guides.com and check the various
countries for hotels with WiFi Hotspots. They have listed them per hotel.
But be aware!
A 60 minute connection costs you about EUR 5,00 and a 24 hour one about EUR
Hotel near Schiphol02 Aug 2004 22:07 GMT1

Cheap hotel in Prague02 Aug 2004 22:07 GMT1
Will be a triffle difficult to find a cheap one this time of the year, in
spite of the recession. Have a look at http://www.europe-travel-guides.com
and select Czech Republic -> Prague.
When ordering directly at the hotel or hostel in most cases you get the best
I am trying to find a budget accomodation in Le Cinque Terre02 Aug 2004 20:12 GMT2
My girlfriend and I will be staying in the Cinque Terre area for 3

Milan - Paris (Routes, cost etc.)02 Aug 2004 20:10 GMT9
A friend and I are arriving Milan on 30 July 2004 and need to be in
Barcelona by 7 August. We want to visit Paris in the interim, and
don't want to go to Venice, Florence and Rome etc., since we will be
visiting the area in a later leg of our trip.
Drunk Flight Crew Members Beat Passenger02 Aug 2004 19:54 GMT1
Slightly OT and reprinted without permission, but Earl does it all the
time so why not.  (We *did* have a thread on Aeroflot recently, thus
I'll insist it's on-topic.  So there.)  Funny or frightening, maybe
both.
Things for a sport-mad teenager in Europe in January02 Aug 2004 19:54 GMT9
I am planning on going to Europe in January 2005. I plan to travel from
London to Munich, Venice, Florence and Rome with a 14-year-old son who has
strong interest in sport and little else. We plan to do snow sports in the
German Alps and in northern Italy but I also want to take in ...
