Cork Pub Crawl Suggestions30 Nov 2004 20:18 GMT1
I'm thinking about doing a pub crawl in Cork city.
Any favorites or suggestions?  Clubs, too.
Quirky, funky, historical, or odd are particularly interesting.

Euro Traveler's Checks30 Nov 2004 19:41 GMT38
I've always used ATM machines for cash when traveling in Europe.
But with my next trip in April, and with the dollar plummeting
against the Euro, it occurred to me that maybe I should buy Euros
now. I don't want to have a lot of cash around, nor do I want to
Ukraine VISA30 Nov 2004 18:12 GMT8
After reading the Ukrainian VISA regulations, I understand that you're
supposed to have an official invitation to be allowed to enter the country
as an individual traveller.
In practical terms, however, there must be a way to get around this.
(no subject)30 Nov 2004 16:35 GMT2
Well, it seems I can never think of calling you except at times when I
know you wouldn't be able to visit -- so, I decided I'd better write!
I can't find anyone who knows a contact person for the new bank.  I
found out the next day after I had talked to you that Larry had gotten

Do these trams run on Al. Gen. W. Andersa?

Hi30 Nov 2004 15:54 GMT4
I didn't know y'all were going to go back early Sunday.  I had intended
to come over and tell you "Thank You" for my birthday present, but then
I realized I'd waited too late (not to mention Bob knocking me out of
getting to go eat Saturday night just cause he wasn't hungry!!)
12 hours to kill in Gardermoen30 Nov 2004 15:23 GMT12
I will be transit in Gardermoen next June (on route to Svalbard).
Any ideas, anyone, on how best to kill ca. 12 hours there?
I know Oslo quite well, so I'm not interested in "popping into town".
Any local side-tours / excursions?
Really disppointed by Let's Go guides30 Nov 2004 14:39 GMT3
to continue with sharp criticism of tourist guide, I'd like to share
my (negative) experience with Let's Go Austria Switzerland guide.
I thought LG was very convenient and matter of fact. Well, I found it
useful for transportation information but as far as sights are
Austria and Switzerland around the New Year30 Nov 2004 14:29 GMT3
No, not this year. Far too late for that... I'm looking ahead to next year.
I'm hoping to take a trip to Austria and Switzerland (maybe take in Prague
again, too) next winter, probably right around the New Year. Sightseeing,
skiing and some romance.
Taxis in Seville?30 Nov 2004 14:08 GMT2
I am travelling to Seville early in the New Year and the only return flight
available was at 8.20am.
I am intending to book an "aparthotel" at the far end of Alameda de
Hercules.
Ljubljana to Trieste by bus30 Nov 2004 13:51 GMT4
Hi --
Does anyone know if there are intercity buses running from Ljubljana to
Trieste and back?
Does any one know the schedule and prices?
buy Euros before travel next year30 Nov 2004 11:40 GMT4
Hi all .. I am traveling next April to Europe for about a month long
visit. Given that everyone is talking about the falling $, I am
considering to buy euros now before it rises even further (maybe). I
would like to ask if anyone knows of places to exchange currency at
Where do the cruise ships in Nuremberg dock for the Canal?30 Nov 2004 09:28 GMT2
My husband is going to Nuremberg this weekend for work, and needs to
get from the Main Train Station to where the passenger ships dock on
the new Canal.  In spite of my (I thought) superior Google skills, I
can't find where the heck that would be.  Plenty of sites talk about
Poland: Krakow30 Nov 2004 03:46 GMT4
I went to Poland a few years ago. They say Krakow is the only interesting
place there (which i didn't visit), but I fond wroclaw and Warsaw, where I
was, as well as the countryside, where i stayed, very interesting: it does
not have to be "Prague" to be worth visiting!
