What are recommedations for budget accomodations in Florence with real air
conditioners that work well in the rooms (not portable units or swamp
coolers)?
We want the air conditioning as much for so the windows can remain closed to

I will be staying in Rome for a few days as a tourist and have booked a

I am searching for a cheap flight-ticket to Istanbul. There are sever
location which I can chose ( Poland,Czech Republic, Germany - Berlin)
as a departure location but I wish I could directly get to Istanbul. Which

Is there satellite radio service in Europe?  Is it possible to rent a
car with it?  (I'd be interested mostly in music channels.)

I am a student and have to stay at Pisa for 3 months.Pisa being a
tourist destination has a large number of hotels.But I am tight on
budget and need a shared apartment/room/dormitory for relevant
period.The only requirements are bathroom and a cookinfg facility.

I am going to Amsterdam in May. I usually stay at the Hotel Amsterdam but
cannot afford there prices this time.
I have seen a couple of good deals at both the NH Schiller and Golden Tulip
Amsterdam.

I am trying to assist my local Junior College's Semester Abroad
program.  They will be staying in a hotel in Orvieto, Italy.  The
proprietor is a 70+ year old man who knows very little about computers,
but I am told a "broadband" line was installed in the hotel this year.

I appreciate the response given regarding what to eat while in
Iceland.....but my real question is...Do we need to make  weekend
reservations for dinner?    It is my understanding that without
reservations we will be  unable to locate a good Icelandic  restaurant.

Is it worth the extra cost for flights between Heathrow and SFO?
Is it any better or worse than Virgin Atlantic's "Premium Economy."  Premier
Economy seems to be much lower priced than Premium Economy.
