I've put 'most civilised' in quotes because I don't mean wealthiest,
best educated, most cultured, etc. I mean the country where people are
the most considerate to one another's feelings.
I ask this question because I've seen my own country (England)

First great western has introduced "first minute fares", I have been
able to find 2 one way tickets from Cardiff to London leaving on a
sunday for 22pounds, or 11 each.
I can pick them up at the train station, or using one of those ticket

i'm told that my new laptop will work in europe without an adapter, as
will my nikon D50 battery charger, so that leaves my norelco shaver as
the only device lacking a power adapter.
Is there a world wide adapter?  or do we buy one for each area?  or
