Avoid a car for a day trip too London12 Oct 2006 16:23 GMT59
I might need to visit London on thursday, for mid-day, I could drive
and mainline train from zone 6, that'd cost 130 UKP or so (at 40p per
mile)  A more realistic cost is 45 in Petrol, say 70 all together...

Hotels in Napoli12 Oct 2006 15:24 GMT4
We plan to spend 4 or 5 days in Napoli early next June and seek advice
on hotels.  Good B&B 3-star accommodation, with or without a
restaurant, in a safe area not too far from the railway station.
Close to good restaurants, safe for walking would be ideal.
Northern Italian Lakes12 Oct 2006 12:30 GMT5
I seek suggestions/advice as to hotels or B&Bs on the shores of Lake
Gardia, or Como in mid-June next for a couple who will be using public
transport (i.e. trains) and don't particularly want to travel long
distance from train stations by taxi to get to accommodation.

Talk about giving the buggers ideas......11 Oct 2006 23:50 GMT1
..isn't it about time there was a D-notice issued on the media to stop them
publishing such scare mongering storys such as this.  And bottom line, it
just gives the buggers more ideas on how to blow us all up and/or increase
'security' taxes to line the coffers of beleagured BAA ...

I'll be in London on business in a couple of weeks, and we are going to
take a week's vacation the following week to drive up to Scotland.
We can leave London Sunday morning and need to be back by Friday around
