My wife is a US green card holder, but a national of China (she carries Chinese passport). As such, we will need to obtain a Schengen visa. On the embassy's website for France (where we intend to spend most of our time), I was a bit curious about a few things:

Whats the best way to get to the M1 (Ireland) from the Dun Laoghaire ferry port. I presume driving though Dublin is a nightmare, so is it best to use the M50, and if so whats the best way to get to that from the port ?

Driving round the UK last week I noticed that a lot of the direction signposts on the motorways and other major roads have cryptic little markers on them- a yellow square with some symbol in black- lozenges, triangles and spots, for example. I guess they must be preferred route

It's the same every year - we get to December and decide to head somewhere warm with a decent beach that isn't tacky and is within say 4 hours flight time of London. Every year we get it a bit wrong eg Madeira (no decent beaches), Agadir (ugly place though lovely beach),

I was wondering if anybody can recommend any hotels near the Estádio do Dragão stadium (Home to FC Porto). Im not too bothered about the cost but i would be perfectly happy with a 3* hotel. Also i believe that "Antas" is the nearest Porto metro stop however i cannot find it
