Foie gras is a tricky dish. All too often is is a bit fade as served in Parisian restaurants. There are two basic varieties, "foie gras de canard", et "foie gras d'oie". I prefer the duck since on the average it is better tasting.

I'm trying to decide what path to take on my upcoming trip to the UK with my boyfriend. I know that we are planning to settle close to Northern England, as I really want to visit Hadrian's Wall, but that's just a destination, not where we are planning to spend a lot of time.
