Tourists face London transport price hike

Australian tourists planning a trip to London are in for a rude shock,
as the already steep prices for public transport have been hiked up yet

Are there any cheap offers to get from Europe to England with one's car
(ferry, tunnel) and back in the second half of August? Booking well
ahead and flexibility regarding the exact date would not be a problem.
Or is it cheaper for two persons to fly over and rent a car there for

High Speed ferry Stena Discovery makes it's last run today.
It is being taken out of service because fuel prices and competition from cut
price airlines make it uneconomical.
