Ségolène Royal Sarkozy debate04 May 2007 22:37 GMT7
The International Herald Tribune says Royal really showed up Sarkozy.
We watched the entire 2 hour debate and Mme Royal is certainly
prettier and sounded more forceful. The moderators didn't interrupt
too often it seemed, they just let the candidates go at each other.
the cheapest way to get to Paris from Detroit04 May 2007 21:42 GMT1
I plan to take a short trip to Paris this summer.  What would be the
cheapest way to get to Paris from Detroit area?  I think of flying to
London and getting to Paris by Eurostar. Would it be a good way?
Thanks in advance.

BBC- Why do we hate pigeons so much?03 May 2007 22:44 GMT132
This has come up recently. I loathe pigeons. Whomever grants the right
for people in St. Mark's Square, Venice (and many other places) to sell
pigeon feed should be shot and then pissed on. There- let the healing
begin.
ATM card or Debit card in Italy03 May 2007 22:19 GMT30
I have an ATM card for my checking account. It is not a debit card,
ie, it does not have a visa or mastercard logo, and can only be used
to withdraw cash from an ATM machine.  Will I be able to use this ATM
card in Italian ATM machines?  Thanks,
Re: Glacier Express Train Info03 May 2007 21:32 GMT1
This is a pretty good site with information and pictures.  The
pictures are a little slow to load, but they are good.
And, yes this is part of a site that sells Glacier Express tickets,
but the information is still good.

Drought in Italy?03 May 2007 12:43 GMT114
Just reading in the US that a massive drought was feared in Italy--the
story was unclear if it was part of Italy or all of it.
This is the first I've heard of it--anyone know anything further?
Reports of drought in other places (Austria? Germany?) that might
