My wife and I are planning a trip to Val di Funes and the Dolomite
Mountains for next summer (July) after a few days in Amsterdam.  A
couple of questions:
1.  If we are flying from Amsterdam, what would be the nearest airport

We want to effectively spend a week in Venice (maybe end September).
But, inevitably, central hotels are expensive.
So we're looking at an easy daily commute, and prefer the reported 10/15
minute ferries from the Lido areas rather than trains from the mainland.
