Velib -- can Americans use it?30 Jun 2008 18:07 GMT7
Since Velib stations in Paris will not accept US credit cards, is
there any way that Americans can use Velib bicycles while in Paris?  I
understand that an American might be able to use a "Navigo pass" but

St Petersburg29 Jun 2008 17:00 GMT26
Suppose you are in Helsinki with your car and want to spend a few days
in St Petersburg. What would be the best way of doing that? Take your
car with the ferry to St Petersburg, drive on the road, simply leave the
car in Helsinki and go to St Petersburg by ferry or train?

Left luggage at Liverpool Street Station: £6.50 per item. £6.50 for having
a bag on a shelf for 6 hours? They must be joking - my flight actually cost
less than that. I'm used to paying less than half that for a locker with
space for several bags.

We are thinking of a stay in Diano Marina.  Can anyone give us some
insight on the town?  Lively or quiet?  Shops and restaurants?  Night
life?  Upmarket or down?  We never trust the guidebooks!
Many Thanks.
Will the Domus Aurea re-open this summer?27 Jun 2008 23:59 GMT2

possibly re-open in the summer of 2008.  Is this true and, if so, how
does one obtain the reservations for tickets that are so "strongly

Things to do around Loch Lomond27 Jun 2008 11:13 GMT17
I'm planning a short mid week break at Loch Lomond in Scotland,
staying at Tarbet.   Unfortunately I cannot do a lot of walking at the

enough in the area or would you recommend trips to, say, Oban or

Murcia26 Jun 2008 12:49 GMT1
So it seems I'm going to be in Murcia for a week in August (I'm told I
can expect it to be hot) and we'll mostly be just chilling out and
doing not very much, but I was just wondering  what the key places to
go and visit would be? Is Cartagena worth a look? Mar Menor? We'll
