Sleeper trains12 Jul 2008 20:27 GMT17
Today's Times of London had an article on sleeper trains. I wonder if
any have recommendations for sleeper trips in Europe? A long time ago, I
travelled from Hamburg to Basle by two-berth sleeper with a shower
available. That's about my low limit. I am more concerned with

Travel between Dublin and Avoca11 Jul 2008 04:52 GMT2
I will be in Dublin for one day and would like to visit Avoca.  Short of
renting a car, is there transportation between these two places?  Bus
routes?  From my maps, it looks like at least 50 miles so a taxi is out
of the question.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Paris Street Pictures10 Jul 2008 08:31 GMT4
A couple of years ago, I was able to look at a website which showed pics of
most inner Paris streets, showing progressive views up or down the street,
with a left/right facility to shoe building facades or junctions - a sort of
precursor of Google Street View.
Recommendation for a peaceful holiday in the Greek islands10 Jul 2008 07:42 GMT5
Because of the way I work, I can rarely take a holiday, but I know I
really need one. All I want to do is lie in the sun, read, eat, sleep
and do all that in peace and quiet for two weeks. I have been to the
Greek islands before and like them, but seeking out one which is still
UK travel insurance10 Jul 2008 07:35 GMT86
I think I heard on the news that the government is to introduce legislation
to disallow dicriminatory age related insurance premiums. Should mean we
can keep travelling later at the expense of higher premiums for younger
people. Excellent! Forcing the insurance companies to spread ...
South-west France - 2-day trip out of Bergerac?09 Jul 2008 20:54 GMT2
Hi, we're in Dordogne for a couple of weeks soon, and want to visit
some new places and stay over in a nice hotel/B&B. We'll be staying
with my wife's parents but this will be a 2-day/1-night getaway from
them, so just the two of us. Criteria are

I am hoping that someone can tell me the cheapest return ferry crossing
between the UK and France in August for 2 passengers & 1 car.
I have had a quick look at a few ferry websites and the cost is a bit high
(around the £350 mark!) and I was hoping that there would be someone here
