Puglia-Apulia07 Jul 2008 16:41 GMT4
In the early stages of planning a Fall trip to Italy's heel region of Puglia.  Plan on driving and staying mostly in small out of the way places.  Beaches of course will be on the list.  Would appreciate hearing from anyone who lives in the region or has personal experiences.
London: Tube accessibility question07 Jul 2008 06:58 GMT16
I know there's some Underground experts here. Can anyone recall if either
Russell Square or Gloucester Road stations would present entry/exit problems
if I'm carrying a standard wheeled suitcase of 15kg or so.

Island on the Seine, quant old winding streets & restaurants06 Jul 2008 20:05 GMT8
I visited Paris for a short while about 10 years ago.  There was an
island on the Seine that had old rustic winding streets, multi-story
buildings on both sides of the main street, mostly abutted, and filled
with quaint restaurants at the ground level.  After checking out the

France itinerary by car06 Jul 2008 07:32 GMT2
We'll likely be in northern France for three weeks at the end of July.
We were thinking of, coming by car from Munich, to make a brief stop in
Strassburg, then continue to Paris. Stay a few days in Paris and one or
two days in Eurodisney (kids want to go there).

Is it possible to use a prepaid phone purchased here in US (Walmart,
Target, etc.) and get a sim card or recharge minutes that can be used
in Europe to call USA? I will be traveling mostly in France and Italy
for 3 weeks and the regular roaming rates on my service plan is too
Calanques- Marseilles03 Jul 2008 03:18 GMT2
Bit of a specific question this, but does anyone know if there are boat
services from either Marseilles or Cassis which drop you _off_ at one of
the inlets (and pick you up later!) rather than just sail by them?
Alternatively, are you still allowed to hike there at the moment? (I've
Mobile Phone Question01 Jul 2008 21:13 GMT1

Would love to have a blackberry/iphone 3g/smartphone with me, and will be
signing up with a European carrier when I arrive I suppose (need to research
London to Portsmouth01 Jul 2008 11:13 GMT8
Ryanair has tempted me with a DKK 62 fare (the 60 comes from the CC fee) to
London. This time I've decided to venture outside of London for a change,
and a visit to Portsmouth to see HMS Victory is obvious. So, how to best
get there (from London)? What kind of fares should I expect ...
South of France - August or September?01 Jul 2008 08:54 GMT3
I'll hopefully be visiting a friend in the south of france in middle
to late august or early to mid september. Not sure what town he lives
in, but will the weather be much different between the two times?
I figure it'll be nicer in august, but will it really be very much

I wandered off for a little while and come back to find both
Martin and Earl being impersonated.
Will someone bring me up to date, or have the trolls already
taken over the group? Are the real Martin and Earl still
