I am planning a trip to belize with my wife and four frends.  We plan
to stay two days in Guatemala, to see Tikal.  We then plan to stay
four days on the main land of Belize, destination undecided.  Ending
the two week excursion with five days on the Cayes.

I've noticed, especially when traveling in Latin America and in
Britain, that many of the inexpensive hotels and hostels require room
keys to be left at the front desk.  This practice has always bothered
me a bit.  Twice I have had things stolen from my room at hotels that

Every fax and phone number I've found for it 'no existe', and their website
has also vanished. I find it hard to believe that this old hotel has gone
out of business, so can anyone help me track them down?

During my recent fishing trip to Cabo San Lucas and La Paz, Mexico, I
met many warm, honest, friendly and interesting Mexicans.
