Because of schedule constraints I find that the most convenient time for me to travel to MEX will be in Summer. It is my understanding that this is the "rainy" season. I plan to take many day trips to ruins etc. Is the rain such that it might entirely ruin an excursion? Does it rain

I'm thinking of spending 3 weeks in Peru in September. Can anyone advise me on how long it would take to travel to Cuzco via Huancayo and Ayacucho? I'd like to visit Machu Pichu and Lake Titicaca but am not sure whether all 3 are really a good idea.

Any budget travellers to South East Asia will be only too familiar with Kao San Rd in Bangkok. Whatever anybody thinks about Kao San Rd, it's certainly convenient for getting easy accommodation at low prices plus rubbing shoulders and swapping stories with fellow travellers.
