I just bought my plane tickets. 7. oct: Oslo - Buenos Aires and 11. dec
Lima - Oslo.
I've been following this group for a while, and have gotten some helpful
advice. But still I'd like some input before takeoff.

I have driven twice to Cosa Rica. Last time in 98.  I no the time required to
get to Guatemala. However the 2 times I've driven from Guatemala to Costa Rica
were at a leisurely pace.  
Next June I have to drive rather rapidly to Cosa Rica from Arizona.

I have never been to South America.  I will be spending about two weeks in
Southern Chili in November.  Could someone tell me what to anticpate in
regard to weather and what type of clothes (long sleeves, short sleeves,
warm weather clothes, cold weather clothes) would be ...

ive had a great deal of experience with trying to live in mexico w/o
actually buying a home or even taking a long-term rental (i want to be
free to travel around) and the whole process of form-filling. telling
half or whole lies to get past a b.s. snarl or whatever has left me

I recently travelled from Puerto Vallarta to Mexico City and found that
nowhere would except money (bills) with even the slightest tear in it.  I
had one 200 peso note with a tear which I measured at 3 millimetres long and
could not spend it anywhere.

My boyfriend and I will be traveling to Puerto Vallarta in December of
2003. I would appreciate any insider advice about PV, as well as any
information on places to gamble in the city. Thanks in advance!

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Buenos Aires, sort of budget to medium
price range, own bathroom near the Florida shopping area.
