Anyone have a recent Costa Rical guide book? I need a phone number for Casa Rio Blanco13 Jan 2004 07:57 GMT2
I'm trying to find a number for the Casa Rio Blanco in Guapiles. It's
a very small rustic hotel near the rainforest overlooking the river.
The "Costa Rica Handbook" (Moon Publication) I have gives a number
that is no longer working. (382-0957)

I'm off to the above in May/June and have been advised to take a "good size"
day sack with me... Here in the UK, a 20 litre sack is OK in the Summer and
I take a 38 litre sack to Scotland in the winter...
So what is a "good-size" day sack at 13,000" at the end of the rainy season

US Citizen entering Brazil will be fingerprinted & photgraphed11 Jan 2004 01:10 GMT7
FYI - An interesting news article about tit-for-tat between the US and

School vacation in Argentina and Chile09 Jan 2004 21:22 GMT7
I plan a trip to Patagonia and I prefer to do it after the school
vacation ends, so the area will be less crowded, but I only have a
vague idea about the dates, like December through February are the
busiest months.
