Nazca Lines24 Feb 2004 20:54 GMT10
Greetings to all,
I'm so glad I found this group. Maybe now someone can give me an honest
answer to this question:
Is it at all feasible to see the Nazca lines at the beginning of June? I
2 day Inca Tour or 4 day24 Feb 2004 20:48 GMT4
Do you recommend a 2 day or 4 day tour of Machu Picchu?
San Jose Costa Rica24 Feb 2004 00:41 GMT1
Costa Rica is generally very safe.  Petty crimes, i.e. small theft are
common.  Plenty of inexpensive places to stay in and out of San Jose.  We
dont usually drive around San Jose because it is easier to take taxis.  We
do rent a car and explore the country and have several times.  ...

Plaza St. Martin, Buenos Aires, Argentina23 Feb 2004 13:53 GMT1
Alejandra and Anna at Travel Plus on Ave Florida were very helpful.
They booked my trips and hotel in Montevideo for me with Buquebus, the
company that operates the fast hydrofoil boats to Montevideo.
They recommend tourists to Buenos Aires to book hotel within about 1
Diamox23 Feb 2004 03:41 GMT2
I'm planning a trip to Peru and Bolivia next June. My doctor gave me a
prescription for Diamox to take care of altitude sickness. Anyone here
ever take Diamox? I'd really be intested in hearing about your
experiences with this drug, especially side effects I might not be aware of ...
Oaxaca22 Feb 2004 05:25 GMT4
I have never been to Oaxaca before but I will be spending a few days
there next month. I have one or two questions that may well be covered
in guide books but it would be good to have up to date answers.
What are reasonable tips there in restaurants, hotels and taxis?

Have you ever dived in Cozumel? Is that nice?
Do they have INT or DIN regulators?
Thanks

Cuzco to Puno by bus day or night?21 Feb 2004 21:57 GMT5
I was thinking about taking the night bus from Cuzco to Puno.  Do you think I will miss much scenery by doing this? We are trying to save some time, but I do not want to miss out on good views.
Guanamar Resort - Costa Rica21 Feb 2004 20:58 GMT3
We have just returned from a one week stay at the Guanamar Resort in Playa
Carrillo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica (February 2 to 9, 2004).
Much to our disappointment, (my husband and two sons, three and five years
old), the hotel is not a "family hotel".  During our stay it was over-run ...
Machu Pichu in March21 Feb 2004 19:36 GMT3
Can anyone recommend a tour company to hike the inca trail?  Is it
necessary to have waterproof shoes and pants? When it does rain along
the trail does it pour or drizzle?  How cold does it get at night?
Below 0 celcius?

Argentina (then probably Mexico City for a few days and Cuba) with a friend
and would appreciate some advice.
I was wondering whether it's worth journeying to Copacabana (Bolivia) for a
Guatemala this summer??? Suggestions, good idea?20 Feb 2004 22:53 GMT6
Hey All,
My family and I are thinking about going to Gautemala at the beginning
of June for roughly 2 weeks. My primary question/concern is what to
expect should we visit? This is in the realm of safety, urban
