Yes, the bugs really are that bad! Sand fleas, no-see-um's, etc. Were travel around CR in Nov. for the 4th time and got eaten alive. Buy repellent before you go, because it is hard to find there. Pura Vida,

Apparently, renting a surfbord is expensive (in Jaco area for one month). Should I bring a board from the US? I would rather not haul one with me. Has anyone had luck buying a board in Jaco, using it for a while, then reselling it there?
