I finally got some plane tickets for the family...last minute..and now
I need to settle on accommodations.  Thinking of plunking ourselves in
a small 6 unit condo (cheap) on the beach in Akumal and then
day-tripping out from there.  Can you drive to Chichen Itza on a day

Can someone give me ideas how to get from Salta to Iguazu?

Is it safe for an older couple? My wife prefers Buenos Aires, safer?

I konw that from 2004 there is a limit of 500 people on inca trial. But is
there any limit of people to go just to the ruins (by train from Cusco to
Aguas Calientes, and than bus to the ruins). And how much that cousts
(antrance, train ticets, bus ticets).  Do I need to do any ...

does anybody know the status of the salt hotel at salar de uyuni?  when i
was there in january 2003, it had fallen into disrepair, and was not used
any more.
has it been fixed up, and is it in use again?

Is it worthwhile staying over a night or two in Aguas Calientes?
Is there anything to do there?
How early can you get to Manchu Pinchu?  By Sunrise?
How late can you stay at the site?  TIll Sunset???

We are wondering:
1) if there are any ATMs in Akumal?
and
2) if one can use a debit card in the money changing booth

I will be in Mexico City in the next week and am hoping someone can give me
some helpful info. about which bus station and bus line can get us as
quickly as possible from Mexico City to Patzcuaro, even if that involves
going through Morelia.  I've tried looking up some web sites, ...
