During our recent stay in Brazil  we made lots of digital photographs. I

What can I do with a couple of days in the Merida area [I will be there

the other way round, or partly)? I'm planning to buy a car somewhere in
Mexico or in the USA near the border with Mexico and drive through Central-
and South-America. Is it possible in the first place? ...

One of the absolutely best is Camaron Dorado in Brasilito, right on the
beach.  This is a mile or two from Playa Flamingo.  Outstanding!

1.  Do we need a 4x4 vehicle for self drive tour?
2.  Is there a road from Colchane to Putre along the altiplano (national
parks, etc) rather than driving back to Iquique  to Arica and then to Putre?
