We were going to winter in Costa Rico, but after reading the state
department's blub on it, it looks like it's too dangerous.  Warnings about
car jackings, don't go out after dark, stay clear of remote areas, etc.

I have some old Mexican pesos and centavo coins from the 1950's that
my mother had saved from a visit at that time.  Are these pesos still

OK, give it some thought for your quick trip to Mexico for your 3 week
vacation, "on the cheap".
