I have a friend who entered the USA on a student visa and has
overstayed (so is illegal). She plans on taking a Greyhound bus from
the USA to the Tijuana airport, so that the INS won't track her
leaving the country. I am assuming that the INS is not going to bother

Me and my family are planning to go to Lima next month. Can anyone
recommend any hotels? We are definitely looking for something down the
cheap, backpacker end of the scale.

After 3 weeks in Nicaragua on a volunteer stint, I am planning to travel
overland through Honduras, El Salvador, Guate to Mexico......Anyone done
this via bus/train?

I want to rent a car in Cuba and travel from Havana to Santiago De
Cuba.. I would like some suggestions for a car rental company and tips
on places to visit and stay.  We want to get away from the beaten track,
 stay in casas, and as musicians, we would like to experience some

When we arrive at Cancun in February, should we look for a van providing
transportation to Puerto Morelos, take a bus, or hire a cab? We will have
6 adults and 2 children in our party.
I understand the bus is pretty easy to take but you have to take a cab

I wanted to go to Cali (I guess by way of Bogota) - so is Cali a fairly safe
area?

Six of us (two families) are flying to Cabo San Lucas this Christmas.
Reading the guidebooks, I'm thinking of spending the week in La Paz,
about a two hour drive from the Cabo San Lucas airport. Any
suggestions for lodging? Also, we're snorkelers (not scuba divers).

Can anyone recommend a bucket shop in Lima where I could book a flight from
Lima to the UK? Somewhere reputable, with a web site so I can compare prices
against the airline web sites and make the booking from the UK.

I am interested in exploring bus travel to Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta.
Sure would appreciate any suggestions from someone who has made the trip
from either California or Arizona.

I'll be in Chile from the end of Dec. until 14th Jan. My plan is to start in
