Any suggestions for good places to dive (sub aqua) and kayak in
Central America?
I arrive from Ireland to Mexico City 10 Dec 2004 and return from
Panama City 30 Jan 2005.

What type of power outlets are found in Buenos Aires, Argentina?
I will be traveling from the U.S. and would like to purchase an appropriate
adaptor. I know I need a 220v to 110 converter - but what about the actual
plug that goes into the socket?

I come to this argument late, not having seen the original posts, but I'd
like to recount some of my experiences:
On one three-trip through Argentina with a few days spent in Brazil at
Iguazú falls, I carried with me a number of little boxes containing jewelry

We want to visit the Amazon and are trying to decide how and where. We
probably would prefer a cruise. It looks like you can do that with
smaller ships in Peru or with larger ships from the Atlantic side.
Several itineraries exist.

From my inquiry about Guatemala to Costa Rica to Peru - I am not hearing any
encouraging feedback on travel to Latin America.

I plan to bring a few hundred dollars with me and the rest will come from
ATMs using my debit card. I'd like to have a backup, just in case I cannot
use my Debit card (lost, atm machine ate it, etc).
