summer in Buenos Aires27 Jan 2007 22:39 GMT16
I am going to Buenos Aires early next month.
One of my travel guide books had this comment to make about the locals.
It said, and I am paraphrasing, that those that live in BA are very
image conscious and that if you walk down the street wearing shorts,

I'll be in San Diego at the end of January and I plan to spend the day in
Tijuana on Sat. Jan. 27. We should be there from around 9 am until 8 pm.
Any advice of what to see ? A good restaurant ? etc. ?

Lima, Peru to Georgetown, Guyana20 Jan 2007 18:42 GMT2
I am contemplating a trip to South America. One of my possible
itineraries is to travel from within South America (e.g., Lima Peru) to
Georgetown, Guyana. I am finding it almost impossible to find a way to
get there from just about anywhere in the continent. Any suggestions?

We want to see the falls from both Brazilian side and Argentina side. I
have read that there is a checkPost for immigration when crossing the
river into Argentina side. We plan to see the falls from Brazil on
first day and cross the river in evening to stay the night in Sheraton

I am hoping someone could provide me with an itinerary more or less of

access, etc., to make the route the most efficient/sensible.

the right.
I'm sending my son for a few weeks and he'll be17 when he gets there.

Fenix Language Institute in Zacatecas?07 Jan 2007 05:31 GMT3
Have any of you attended this school?  A German friend highly
recommended it, though she was there some 12 years ago.  Their Web site
is up to date, so I know they're still in business.  Have studied twice
in Cuernavaca and once in Quito, and since I don't know northern Mexico
Is it possible to take a train from the U.S. to Brazil?05 Jan 2007 01:12 GMT12

Costa Rica 1-day tour?03 Jan 2007 00:48 GMT4
Has anyone experienced the 1-day Costa Rica Highlights tour from San Jose?
It appears that several companies offer the same tour, and much of the
verbiage from their websites was repetetive.
Do you have a particular tour company recommendation?
