We are going to be spending a 5 days in Tulum. One of the places we want to visit is Chichen Itza. What is the best way to get to get to Chichen Itza from Tulum? Should we take a bus from Tulum, or is it better to rent a car and drive.

My wife and I will be in Oaxaca for about 5 weeks, starting 6/26 (!) in Puerto Escondido, then to Oaxaca City. We'd like to visit at least one coffee plantation/farm (I'm into coffee: roast my own!). We'd like to avoid, if possible, "canned"
