GMC?  FMC?  Opinions?01 May 2004 00:24 GMT7
I'm in the process of buying my first motorhome and I need some
guidance.  I don't want (and can't justify the expense of) a newer
Class-A, so I've been looking at the 70's-vintage GMC's and FMC's.  They
both seem to have maintained their value, which I hope would mean they

May 1st  2003: Bush declares end of major combat in Iraq!30 Apr 2004 21:08 GMT4
Another IQ example of this republican President.
Picture this: Exactly one year ago May 1st.. Bush dressed in "combat"
fatigues (extreme insult to real soldiers but especially those who
will die or be crippled during the year and he will never attend a

Am I the only one here who is fed up with the finger-pointing,
insults, and petty whining about the President of the United States?
We are engaged in military conflicts with a people who want to destroy
us, who have attacked and killed Americans here in our own country and
Chris Bryant refridge question30 Apr 2004 15:10 GMT4
Norcold 662 seems to not be able to hold a low temp in lower section when
operating on gas, but (I think) it works okay on electric. So read that perhaps
orifice/burner assembly needed cleaning, so took it out, apart, and cleaned it
(was kinda dirty). Now, after reassembly, the ...

Garage door 7 feet; RV 8.5 feet. Suggestions?30 Apr 2004 05:49 GMT15
Does anyone know how to make a garage with a 7 foot door taller, to
take an RV that is 8 & 1/2 feet tall?  And how much this little piece
of work might add to the total cost of RV plus garage?
It seems obvious that a contractor would have to cut out the top front
Fuse for dash heater blower30 Apr 2004 05:43 GMT1
I have a 1996 Allegro Bay coach and I cannot locate the fuse for the dash
heater blower.
I have looked to no avail and cannot find it. If anyone has a clue as to
where it is, I would greatly
Durango to Ouray30 Apr 2004 05:36 GMT26
A question for the group.  What are your experiences regarding driving a MH
on route 550 between Durango and Ouray Colorado.  The maps I have show two
passes over 10,000' and one over 11,000'  I'll be driving a turbo-charged
diesel pusher with exhaust brakes.

Leaking Slide30 Apr 2004 02:30 GMT3
I have a 2003 Dolphin LX 6342 with a bedroom slide that includes both
the head of the bed and the closet forward of the bed. Last weekend
after a day of heavy rain, the floor of the closet was soaked. The
walls, ceiling of the closet were dry and the only liquid in the closet
Engine Roar29 Apr 2004 22:35 GMT2
I have a 1994 Class C motorhome on a Ford e350 chassis with the 400
cuin engine.  About two years ago I was having trouble with the speed
swinging and the torque converter going in and out of overdrive.  I
could not run using the cruise control due to the speed swing.  This
