My Specs 2002 Nissan Pathfinder (towing limit 5000lbs) 2002 Coleman Santa Fe (weight=approx 2100lbs with gear) I have used this combination for trips with no problems at all.

This was my weekend to live dangerously. We had to drive up to Seattle to pick up our granddaughter at SeaTac. Left Sat about 3:00 and got back today at 5:20PM. I really lived dangerously on this trip.
