Mold and mushrooms in my 5th wheel05 Jul 2004 22:04 GMT13
I opened the outer rear storage compartment door of my 5th wheel today and
got the surprise of my life! All of my stuff was covered with black powder.
I have mushrooms with 8" long stems sprouting in there! The mold is
everywhere and the compartment has some moist spots.
Rving in Ontario Canada - Dish network coordinates05 Jul 2004 16:53 GMT7
I am going to be RVing in Parry Sound Ontario, Chutes Provincial Park (north

How do I get coordinates for these places?
Thanks,
Disappointed with LDRS this year05 Jul 2004 14:43 GMT4
I decided at the last minute to drive the 2144 miles round trip to LDRS in
New York.  I was only there on Saturday and decided to leave Saturday
evening after seeing the weather forecast for thunderstorms for Sunday.
I must be spoiled by the last two LDRSes, particularly Argonia ...
Truck Tires?05 Jul 2004 04:58 GMT10
I know theres a thread about TT tires and inflation but was wondering about
truck tires pulling a 5th wheel.  We just purchased our first 5th wheel, 29
foot Durango by Sportsman.  My trucks tires say a MAX inflation at 80 PSI at
X weight.  Now i dont have the X weight they say on ...

Going to go look at an Airstream 27".    It's an Overlander...   The person
can't tell me the weight.  Need to know this, because I don't wanna overload
my truck.  :-(
Anyone able to give me a good idea?  I appreciate it!!!
Airstream Windows04 Jul 2004 18:08 GMT6
Went and looked at an Airstream today.  Close to making a decision on a
trailer...
73 Overlander Land Yact.  Pretty nice, needs some carpet and other minor
remodeling (all fabrics need replaced to get cigarette smell out).
Good Advertising04 Jul 2004 16:06 GMT29
Since I'm really tired of bashing Bush, and having already bashed the
Ford Truck ad last week, I thought I'd post part of a good ad:
Las Vegas NV, Mack Trucks announcement of their new Advantage Chassis:
"With Advantage, customers can choose from four rail options—6 mm, 7

Hunter,
I'd really like to resolve this.  Please let me know what you
considered "snarking."
Thanks.
Is Vector 35amp charger loud?04 Jul 2004 10:21 GMT2
I've a Vector 1093 that I got on Amazon.com; it has a 40 amp bulk mode
and good logic & voltage levels, but its fan is loud. However, it has
a 100 amp starting mode so the fan might be to protect it while in
that mode.
GPS for RV Camping and Travel04 Jul 2004 06:00 GMT2
Any recommendations on a handheld GPS unit that is useful for
parks/campgrounds/roads for the California area?
Thanks,

Max speed to drive w/Trailer03 Jul 2004 20:39 GMT3
We are about to pick up our first travel trailer.  We will be towing
with an '01 Tahoe and the trailer is a 30' Wilderness Yukon.  What is
the safest highway speed I should drive at?  Is 70mph too fast to
drive with a trailer.  We are using an Equilizer hitch.
6V and 12V??03 Jul 2004 20:27 GMT64
While trying to educate myself about solar power I have come across those
who advocate 12V batteries rather that 6V.
Most systems use 2, or more, Trojan T105 6V.
Could someone please explain why 1 or 2-12V would be better than 2 or4-6V?

Gas RV bras?03 Jul 2004 17:50 GMT4
We plan to travel to Alaska next summer.  We're trying to think of
what kind of precautions we should take to protect the front of our
motorhome--a 2002 34' Sea Breeze LX gasoline model.
I see plexiglass fronts and bras for diesel units, but rarely see
Good Sam stalking me?03 Jul 2004 17:50 GMT5
Over the last 2 years I have repeatedly received invitations for
insurance quotes from Good Sam in the mail. I have thrown them away, put the
red stickers on the reply envelop say "No thanks", but still they keep
coming. I emailed them and told them "I'm not interested". Still the ...
