Storm Aftermath - not too bad17 Jul 2004 03:55 GMT12
Well, yesterday afternoon was very interesting, truly!  Because an
imminent drastic thunderstorm threatened, I left work a little early
because I wanted to beat the storm's onset, which I did just barely.
The winds were rather high and very gusty and the town's tornado sirens

'OT: Warning to Jenny!  Keep 'em on!17 Jul 2004 03:13 GMT3
Minneapolis, Minnesnowta (AP) -- Daryl Miller didn't make it through
airport security because he couldn't keep his pants on.
A security screener was waving a metal-detecting wand over Miller's
pants area on Friday when Miller pulled his shorts down to his ankles.

The article below appeared in our local paper 'Auto Plus' section today. It
previews changes to the 2005 Ford Super Duties. Of interest is the new Factory
Installed Trailer Brake Controller System and they now have the new TorqShift
transmissionn available accross the board, not ...

RVs and Speeding16 Jul 2004 21:15 GMT118
Hi group,
I'm curious about something.
What's the purpose of driving/pulling an RV at 80 or 90 mph, when the
speed limit is 65 0r 70?  With RV fuel economy not the greatest, I just
"all terrain" Roadmaster Falcon tow bar16 Jul 2004 21:00 GMT9
I've searched the archives on this product with very limited results.
I would appreciate input on the this products "all terrain" feature
from anyone who has used this product. What is the approxiate weight
of this tow bar?
ripped flooring16 Jul 2004 20:36 GMT31
We own a l999 5th wheel Sunnybrook, we bought new.  Much to our surprise,
when we were going to get it ready for first trip this summer, our floor in
kitchen was badly torn.  Then when we put out the slide.  Another long
jagged tare across the whole floor right in front of the slide ...
small toad question16 Jul 2004 14:51 GMT31
We have a 29' MH with a ford V-10. Total weight is 16,450 lb.
We would like to tow a small car with all wheels down. A Chevy Tracker had
been recommended but when we checked FMCA site, it only could be towed for
200 miles without stopping and running the engine.
Batteries and Tap Water16 Jul 2004 13:43 GMT37
I called my local Interstate Battery distributor.  I had searched 3
local grocery stores for distilled water without success.  One store had
Purified Water with a small print statement that it could be used for
batteries, photography, distilled water uses, etc.
I need Alan to answer a few questions about Onan Generator16 Jul 2004 13:11 GMT2
Alan gave me some pointers about wiring an Onan generator and I need just a
few more.   If someone else has the answer to this - by all means jump right
in.  There are 4 wires coming out of the top of the generator marked M1 M2
M3 M4.  My question is, how do I wire these to outlets? ...
Off Topic Posts16 Jul 2004 12:23 GMT59
Why don't all the off-topic posters take their off-topic posts somewhere
else?  I'm sure there are some great groups dedicated to political
debates...  Or maybe we need to start a group called
rec.outdoors.rv-travel.off-topic?  :-)  Just seems like way too high of a
MH A/C drip lines16 Jul 2004 05:15 GMT5
We are having our rainy season here in Las Vegas.  High humidity.  The two
Coleman roof A/Cs on my coach are dripping water, and it is running off the
roof.  Is there a connector inside where I can run a runoff line out to the
edge, or is this SOP for that A/C?  Do I just pull the ...
Mid-entry diesel pusher?16 Jul 2004 03:36 GMT9
Interested in a mid-entry pusher.  Monaco and HR have such a model but not
usually stocked by dealers.  A gas example would be the 2005 Winnebago 38J.
Any other mfgs out there that may have a similar floor plan in a pusher for
2005?  Would also consider 2003/2004 models.
Ground or RV-sidewall mounted awning legs? RL experience suggests any preference?16 Jul 2004 02:06 GMT8
We have a small manually operated Carefree Of Colorado "case" type awning
almost completely installed.
At first we anticipated that positioning the awning rearmost gave the most
usable outdoor space, since the door and it's open/close arc consumes much
