After the 4th, we really got lazy.  Things settled down into a routine

Roof leak in bathroom...skylight?14 Aug 2004 20:35 GMT5
We've got a small roof leak in the bathroom of our "new" '92 Winnebago
(30').  I checked out the roof and can see 2 small cracks in the
skylight where the screws attach.  Not sure if that is where the leak
is or not.  Since my husband had a minor stroke, I'm the chief
Camping in Canada14 Aug 2004 16:08 GMT40
I'll be camping in Canada next week and was wondering what I can bring
across the border. I have a 5th wheel and was hoping to bring
everything I need to get by for the week (beer, food) but I am now
wondering if I can bring this stuff across the border. I think

Flagstaff Accident Any Info?14 Aug 2004 05:55 GMT5
We drove by a sad sight on I-17 southbound just south of Flagstaff yesterday
(tha's Tuesday the 10th).  Large trailer demolished, attached to large upside
down SUV (maybe a Suburban) with the roof partially caved in.  Ouch!
There was no article on this in today's Flagstaff paper, so ...
Why are motorhomer drivers so stupid?14 Aug 2004 05:26 GMT34
Why do motorhome drivers do such stupid things when driving?  I don't know
if they forget the motorhome is 35 feet long and accelerates like a brick
or what.
Last year, while towing my travel trailer, a motorhome changed lanes into
New VW turbo-diesel14 Aug 2004 03:40 GMT2
For all of you frustrated Rialta owners - listen up. I saw an article
in this month's "Smart Money" magazine that said VW was introducing a
new W10 layout 5.3-liter turbo diesel engine with aboout 300 hp as an
option in the Touareg 4wd station wagon. Must admit, I have trouble
On Topic!!     Ref Water Valve on a Norcold 9100 IM14 Aug 2004 02:53 GMT5
Am I safe to assume that the water valve on a Norcold 9100 IM (Ice Maker)
only dispenses a certain amount of water and if it dispenses more than the
measured amount it is defective, sounds stupid I know but it does work?  I
called Norcold and they said there is no manual adjustment ...

What license for RV with air brakes13 Aug 2004 21:49 GMT4
What type of driver's license is required to drive an RV with air brakes?
Is an air brake endorsement required?  Do most states issue air brake
endorsements for non-commerical licenses?

The early winter of 1968 was a season of acute anxiety for the young George
W. Bush. As his academic career at Yale sputtered to an inglorious denouement,
the war in Vietnam was hurtling forward at full-bore with the onset of the
Tet Offensive. In those perilous months, there were ...
Refueling old permanent propane tanks13 Aug 2004 18:59 GMT7
The discussion in the 5th wheel thread about old 40 lb. tanks made me
remember that my 89 Roadtrek has the underframe permanent tank,
probably around 40 gallon or so.  I have never filled it up, as it was
full when I got it last fall.  Is the onboard permanent tank
F250 Diesel (1997) wheel bouncing??13 Aug 2004 16:54 GMT6
Our truck runs well with our 5th wheel however every now and again when I
reached speeds of 70 or so without the trailer of course, I'll pick up a
harmonic bounce with severe shaking as if a tire is out of balance. Boy did it
shake our truck today on the freeway (some bad spots on ...
