Brake Check13 Aug 2004 15:08 GMT46
I decided to check the brakes on my Ford van today. The lug nuts were so
tight I had to use a piece of pipe to lever the lug wrench. As far as I
can recall, the last time the wheels were off was when I had the tires
replaced, about 20,000 miles ago. At that time, all the brakes were ...
Greetings from New Popup Owner13 Aug 2004 12:47 GMT7
Hi Y'all!
I thought I would take a moment and introduce myself.  My name is Nydia and I
am the proud new co-owner of a very lightly used 2003 Coleman/Fleetwood Bayside
Tent Trailer.  My best friend and her husband are my partners in this
Dolphin Motorhome Question13 Aug 2004 05:30 GMT3
I'm a new owner of a 1979 20-foot Dolphin Motorhome.  We love this
little motorhome, and I believe the Dolphins have quite a fan club.
But I do have one problem:  The springs that support the rear end do
not seem to be designed heavy enough to keep the coach level.  If
CG questions about Leonard Harrison State Park, PA13 Aug 2004 02:43 GMT8
In a couple weeks, I'll be at the Leonard Harrison State Park on the
eastern rim of the PA Grand Canyon. This will be my first real trip
with the my trailer, apart from much local driving around (weigh
this, adjust that, etc) and one weekend at a local CG. I've reserved
Wheel bearings12 Aug 2004 23:50 GMT71
I have packed a few wheel bearings in my day (usually by hand with a
pail full of grease). I have now bought a wheel bearing packer that is a
funnel shaped thing am about to use it.
I did forget in my old age the subsequent "backing off" of the wheel
Margins and what to look for when buying used12 Aug 2004 23:07 GMT14
We are new to RVing and planning to purchase a used 5th wheel.  Having
learned the basics about weight and balance, we have begun to look at used
units.
Here is a question about the purchase process:  We intend to purchase from a
How much planning?12 Aug 2004 22:03 GMT24
I'm curious: I've recently retired and am planning a month-six weeks trip to
Oregon-Washington from Colorado. My wife says I'm a planning freak, and I do
spend hours on the computer with Topo USA and Streets & Trips and online
with the newsgroups and parks sites. It's just that I ...
Question about detecting leaks12 Aug 2004 19:12 GMT4
So if I do _all_ the proper checking for leaks and the prospective trailer
passes my inspection, can I assume the unit is highly likely to be leak
free?  I.e., is it highly unlikely that a  leak can stay hidden for a long
time?

Where to purchase chassis for teardrop trailer?12 Aug 2004 17:48 GMT4
I'm thinking I want to make my own teardrop trailer, but I am
wondering where I can purchase the chassis for one. Are these things
commonly available?
Thanks.
Ewww, it STINKS in here!!12 Aug 2004 15:24 GMT21
No, not HERE (though I suppose some would debate me on that)!
It stinks in my home.  We've been using Odorlos ever since we got our fiver,
and we've never had a single problem, not one whiff of anything at all.
Now, all of a sudden, it STINKS to high heaven as soon as you walk in ...

RV PIGS    (rant)12 Aug 2004 00:59 GMT6
I have to tell the folks that decide to throw your kitchen garbage in the
firepit before checking out of your campsite or just doing it ...to please
refrain from just that. Please put your burnable leftover food, food
containers, coffee grounds etc in the garbage. Please don't ...
