Quality of Komfort?12 Aug 2004 00:10 GMT2
Okay, our knowledge is growing.
Now, we have seen a couple of Komfort brand 5th wheels and have a line on
another that looks quite good on paper.  The age range of these units is
between 1988 and 1995.  (The 95 is the one we have not seen yet but it is
No more ATT cellphone11 Aug 2004 21:42 GMT9
When we bought the RV we increased our att cellphone minutes to 450, but
because of the reception where we live we could only use them while in the
RV.  We had a Motorola V60t phone which would only work if we were outside
the house, and we usually had 0-2 bars, mostly 0.
really need advice - new to rv'ing and looking for a good Vehicle/Trailer combo11 Aug 2004 20:12 GMT8
Hi gang,
My name is Peter and my wife and I have looked around a lot! We have
been trying to decide between a Trailer, a 5th Wheel, or a Motorhome.
But we are liking the idea of a Travel Trailer.

I have an Airstream Land Yacht.  I bought it new 2 years ago in May.  On the
last two trips it overheated twice pulling moderate hills and I was NOT
towing anything.  Now this problem involves three manufacturers: Airstream,
Freightliner, and CAT.  I called CAT and the first thing ...

Vented and notched tailgates for 5er tow vehicles11 Aug 2004 19:40 GMT48
Advantages other than keeping you from dinging the tailgate when you forget
to lower it and hitting the trailer when you forget to raise it.
Do they help with fuel costs?  Power?

Southwind floor (was fuel pump)11 Aug 2004 15:19 GMT4
I want to get to the fuel pump on my 91 Southwind.  Rather than drop the
tank, I'd like to cut an access under the bed.  From the looks of the
picture in the Ford Truck service manual, it should work.  Does anyone know
the construction of the floor? Possibly a sandwich of insulation ...
Sealing roofs?11 Aug 2004 15:03 GMT8
One of the above posts got me wondering.
I used to seal my tin roof RVs.  But the last two had one piece rubber
roofs.
1...do they still make tin roofs?

Cool RV TV11 Aug 2004 01:13 GMT4
Thought I would share the idea of my favorite RV TV system. First I bought a
Casio EV-4500 4in battery powered TV. I then ordered a "Video Sender" on
Ebay and hooked it to my satellite TV system. Now I have this nice little
wireless TV that I can carry anywhere inside or outside the ...

Best Time To Sell TT10 Aug 2004 23:58 GMT1
What time of the year is it best to try selling a travel Trailer in
South Florida?  I have a 1998 Sunnybrook 26FK with all the bells and
whistles that were available that year.  The unit looks almost like new.
