Please help a newbie!!06 Sep 2004 23:44 GMT4
I just bought a 30ft RV. Where can I find useful information on satellite
television, internet connection, and mobile phone? I will not be a full
timer and want to consider each on an as needed basis. Just remember I'm new
to this, please no techno jargon.

I bought a smaller 1970 Sportscraft Tent Trailer. It¹s in great shape. I
was wondering if anyone knows the history of Sportscraft and if they are
still around. Contact information would be great. I think it was made in
Manitoba. I¹m seeking a canvas kit.

Can anyone who tows one of these expound on what needs to be done prior to
towing, i.e., put transfer case in neutral & trans in (?) gear (if
necessary.) Are there any towing limits for this vehicle?
What type of tow bar are you using and are you happy with its performance?

I'm back05 Sep 2004 15:23 GMT35
Well I bet that there is not a single person here who knew that I was here
to begin with, mush less knew that I had left. I had only posted a couple

I stopped reading this group (and all others) when I quit work and started
It's about leadership05 Sep 2004 14:06 GMT31
Liberals think, and Kerry claims, that he is better qualified to be
Commander -in-Chief and chief execution of this nation.
What ARE his credentials??
AFAIK, the only "leadership" position he ever held is commanding a swiftboat

Another Lesson Learned  (Winegard Antennas)05 Sep 2004 00:57 GMT5
As I said before I ordered a new antenna replacement for the one that
had gone out on my last trip.  It was the Winegard type.  I checked
everything including the instructions ! (GASP)  Instructions said no
repairable parts.  So order a new one I did.  Got the new one in and
Ultra light04 Sep 2004 15:28 GMT7
Does anyone have knowledge on the structural integrity of the ultra light
travel trailers.  I am considering a Rockwood 8272s but don't know whether
that would be unwise.
Should I consider going with a steel frame vs aluminum plus other factors
Roof air controls ?04 Sep 2004 07:21 GMT4
I am a former RVer with a class A. This rig had AC that cycled on and off
depending on the cooling need.  Now I have a small TT with roof air.
When cooling, the compressor cycles, the fan runs constantly when the unit
is on. In a small TT, this is really noisy.  Can these AC's ...
Adjusting trailer/truck height?04 Sep 2004 05:44 GMT20
OK, presuming I eventually get this ^%$#@%^ 3/4 ton truck, I believe I've got a
new problem...  My current Dodge 1500 4X2 is around 50 - 51" at the top of the
tailgate.  The 3/4 ton Chevy is 55 - 56" at the top of the tailgate.
On my current setup the trailer rides evenly and there ...
New campers: VOC/chemical smell?03 Sep 2004 23:18 GMT13
We're about to purchase a Jay Flight 28RLS.  We looked at dozens of

When we looked at the first new camper, my wife was the first one in.
