Re: is age a factor23 Oct 2004 06:33 GMT49
I must confess. I have handled a fifth wheel for about a month. I live
in Northwest Georgia, about 25 minutes from Chattanooga .Tn. If any body
is familiar with the area, I'm about 15 minutes south of the Chicamunga
Battlefield. I took Rt 75 south thru Atlanta to Spring Hill, ...
Texas DL23 Oct 2004 05:11 GMT45
We are going to be crossing into West Texas from Benson, AZ in late Nov or
early Dec to get our DL's and plates for the MH and auto. Anyone have a
recommendation on where to stop *other than* El Paso. We'd like to stay out
of a major metro area if possible.
Bird problem23 Oct 2004 04:45 GMT61
More crap... purple crap!
A bird is attacking and crapping purple birdshit on our van. At first I
thought it was kind of cute to see that bird fluttering on the van's
mirrors, windows, and roof, so I took a couple of pictures. Later when I

We have a 2003 Chinook Glacier  25' motorhome that we like very much.
Overall it is very well made and is just the right size for our needs.
It *does* have one very annoying problem and I am hoping someone can
suggest a solution.

Maine or bust!22 Oct 2004 23:04 GMT5
If no more troubles arise, we will actually make it to Maine tomorrow.
I stopped 15 miles after leaving Springfield, MA, and every 50 miles
after that to make sure the fuel pump wasn't leaking, and it was still
dry after arrival here in Ashland, NH. A few more days like that and I

On the road and need a stable and ever-on radio station? Look no further.
The thing of the future is here; it's called SIRIUS.
120 channels, no commercials, crystal clear, digital and beamed directly
down from space. Radios of the new generation. One setup, listen anywhere.
The Pennant!!22 Oct 2004 18:39 GMT10
Congratulations to all you Boston Fans...
The curse is lifted. I hate that the Yankees lost but coming back from 0-3 and
winning the pennant is an amazing feat..... you have a reason to be very proud
tonight.

Is Age a Factor22 Oct 2004 15:56 GMT22
My wife and I are retired. We're both healthy and feel fine. However, my
wife is 66 years old and I'm 72. We're planning to purchase a fifth
wheel and do a lot of traveling. Most likely be away from home about 6
months out of the year. My question is are we starting out late in life ...

Cruising in luxury22 Oct 2004 14:54 GMT77
Maybe if I had a few million dollars, I'd be interested in giving up our
land and house for a depreciating walk-in closet on wheels and live like
this. <VBG>

We'll be moving across country with our 30' Winnebago chiefton & small
saturn toad.  We'll be selling most of our big stuff (furniture/TVs
etc.) but would like to carry as much stuff as possible.  I know it's
not smart to overload an RV but what could we get away with on a
