Adventures on the Res......30 Nov 2004 19:51 GMT50
A perfect day here in southern Arizona.  Low 70s, no wind, nary a cloud
in sight.  After a huge dinner with all the traditional Thanksgiving
items (and a short siesta) Esposa and I went for a drive on the Tohono
O'odham reservation.  The drive to Gu Vo and Ali Ak Chuk is our

Has anyone used the Garmin iQue 3600 for RV navigation?
If so, comments, good or bad.

Steve,
Here are the snaps that I said I would post for you or anyone else who
might be interested.  Although I did not mount the Coleman lantern on
top of the tree (it was 27° outside when I took the snaps) as you can
Best foam for sleeping, added info30 Nov 2004 15:28 GMT1
Back in my sailing days I chose to replace the foam in the berths of our
boat. Many were larger than those of an RV, and of unusual shape.
The trick to getting the foam into the cover was taught to my by an
uphoslter, and it is quite simple.

About 6 months out of the year, I semi-occupy your typical 3-2 brick
house in Georgetown, Texas.  A poor thing, but mine own.  Or will be,
Heating Loss in RV30 Nov 2004 02:12 GMT12
Does any one ever use those expensive little square pillow looking
things that stuff in the overhead vents. Do you think they save any heat
in the RV.

Where to park overnight?29 Nov 2004 22:31 GMT9
I've been told that WalMart lets people stay in their parking
lots. Is that true? Can anyone suggest other places that allow
it? I want to go skiing in NC (I live in GA), and was told that
the ski area I want to visit--Ski Beech--will not allow people

Ford Escape Hybrid Test Drive (RV Toad?)29 Nov 2004 18:29 GMT2
I drove the Escape Hybrid today at a nearby Dealer. I am very impressed. I have
to say that it measures up to all the hype.
The car is super quiet and seamless in operation. The brakes are a tad
different (due to them being regenerative) when you first try them but you get
Health Insurance for Full Timers (SD residents)29 Nov 2004 16:52 GMT12
My wife and I are about to become full timers.  We have abandoned our WA residence
for SD.  We got one quote for a high deductable health insurance from an agent in SD and
the premium was 40% higher than our premium in WA (Seattle area) for similar coverage.
Since we're still ...

Much to the disdain of some about places offering ANYTHING FREE, the link
seems to be another good source for free wifi listings. It listed every single
one I've used this year.
need advice on window insulators29 Nov 2004 14:20 GMT2
I have an older RV that has only the single pane windows.  When we camp and
the outside temp is below 40 or so, I can really feel the cold coming in
from the windows.  Any ideas on how to correct this would be a great help!
The windshield is a separate issue, of course.
