Winterization logic/Pink stuff23 Nov 2004 13:40 GMT56
After some discussion on the *proper* way to winterize, I thought I'd
give my two bits about what I do slightly different than what is
normally recommend.
I empty all tanks, throw the hot-water bypass valve, fill the fresh

New camera - It's Bob's fault23 Nov 2004 10:06 GMT11

I've been using digital cameras longer than most, having been sent an

Does plastic tubing burst due to freezing?23 Nov 2004 09:37 GMT10
I am reading the threads about winterizing with interest.

Canyonlands NP Camprground/s23 Nov 2004 07:47 GMT12
We're planning a trip to Canyonlands NP. Can someone that's been there
recommend a nice local (?) RV campground that will accept a 35' rig?
I have a 4x4 toad to see the park and for side trips.
Thanks...Keith

There was a discussion on RV-Talk recently concerning using the MH

how long individuals ran their generators each day when boondocking.
Someone made the comment that if they just pulled into a Wal-Mart or

arthritis and other issues...
My sincere condolences to him and family.
Exide Orbital battery questions..23 Nov 2004 02:00 GMT4
I'm able to purchase Exide Orbital AGM type batteries fairly
inexpensively.. a local warehouse sells them for $26.75 once they've
aged 12 months from date of manufacture. Picked up a engine start
battery last week, and have asked the guy to let me know when he gets

Water heater bypass valve22 Nov 2004 17:51 GMT16
Can anyone shed any light on this please....
I removed the water heater drain plug but when I pump antifreeze into
the system via the water pump it drains out of the heater drain
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE BYPASS IS OPEN OR CLOSED.
Hot water heater and antifreeze22 Nov 2004 14:57 GMT4
What detrimental effects (if any) will occur if non-toxic pink antifreeze is
allowed to partially fill a hot water heater?  The heater is LP gas powered
only - no electric heating element.
Thanks,
