Loss of power26 Dec 2004 18:59 GMT92
Last evening, we were driving our car on I-10 towards Quartzsite at 75 mph,
passing a truck. Just as we crested a hill, still beside the truck, the Olds
Alero (V-6) lost power. Speed dropped like a rock. I slipped it into neutral,
hit my right turn signal and drove to the shoulder ...
How to keep deer away26 Dec 2004 13:21 GMT147
This isn't exactly off topic since it is an OUTDOOR forum.  Son-in-law
says some deer are invading his freshly planted grass in Virginia and
he wants to know how to keep them away.  Shooting not permitted in the
area.  Thought some of you folks might know of good suggestions.  May

sNOw fun26 Dec 2004 00:58 GMT29
I had to move the motorhome this morning because propane was about
empty.  This is the second day of snow in Amarillo.  The fun began
with curling up the ice and snow covered electric cable.  Then the
slides had ice and snow trying to hold on tight.  The awning dumped
Scales in San Diego?25 Dec 2004 23:44 GMT12
I have my new 5th wheel trailer.  Bought last week in Oregon.  I'm now in the
San Diego area.  I'm looking over the information on licensing the trailer (and
the truck) in South Dakota.  It appears that because no "Manufacturers Certificate
of Origin" is provided for the trailer, I ...
TOAD for Sale on eBay25 Dec 2004 19:46 GMT9
We are selling the 1993 Chrysler LeBaron GTC white convertible that we
used to tow behind the Allegro Bay.  It only has 44000 miles on it,
DeLores bought it new so she is original owner.  It has full REMCO
equipment already installed on it, although we took the tow bar off to
Better than TIVO !25 Dec 2004 15:18 GMT74
I picked up a DVR that records on recordable DVD's instead of using an
internal hard disk, lets you save em (unlimited time, up to 10 hrs per DVD),
doesn't need a phone line, works from sat, cable, or OTA/etc, does High Def
and Surround Sound,  and also Plays DVD Video, DVD R/RW, ...
Drain Fuel Filter in 04 Commins25 Dec 2004 14:47 GMT7
Looks like I got some water in the fuel in my new 04 cumins Ram, 2500.
Thought it had been running different, drove the fuel down to near
empty and put 5 gallons in and drove 3 or 4 miles then opened the
filter drain valve , some fuel came out. I closed it, drove another
I can't believe nobody remembers this.25 Dec 2004 14:45 GMT6
Several months ago, (I don't think it was over a year ago but when your
fulltime time flies.) There was a few post about how to measure you current
usage of your motor home by using cheap parts from Radio Shack and a few from
someplace else.
Unleaded Regular In The Diesel Tank25 Dec 2004 12:30 GMT87
This story is, you understand, only hypothetical. A person would have
to be a complete fool to do something like what I'm about to
describe.
Let's say that a tired Class 'A' RV driver fueled up in Kingman,
OT,  White stuff25 Dec 2004 07:05 GMT10
It got rather cold last night, 19 degrees.
This morning we awoke to the strangest white stuff all over things.  It's
really cold, powdery stuff. About 2 inches deep.  But it's melting with the
bright sunshine we have now.  Strange for El Paso.
Freezing cold in Minnysoda25 Dec 2004 05:32 GMT9
Minus 13.9 when I hopped in the truck this morning.  Turned over
slowwwwlllllyyyyy but started.  Took forever to warm up.  Scraped off a
thick layer of frost.  Fortunately the sun was shining and I had
windshield wiper fluid good to minus 20.
Have to APOLOGIZE about the Republican guy running24 Dec 2004 22:17 GMT12
for the governor of WA. It looks like he will not bring the lawyers
in. I must say that he is showing himself to be a much bigger person
than Bush ever could be. My hat is off to him and I wish him well. If
he is really this nice, maybe he would have been a decent governor. I

Do any of you know a magic tric for removing the "clip" end of a GM fuel filter
