Saturn Mailing Aimed at Motorhomers20 Dec 2004 17:54 GMT24
I received a Saturn mailing.  About the size of two post cards taped
together then folded, it was aimed at people who tow cars behind their
motorhomes.  I was quite impressed.  My ten year old SW2 is still meeting my
every need and I'd simply buy another should it fail so their ...
Mapping program for RVer's??20 Dec 2004 17:20 GMT17
I currently use SA9 and a Garmin 3+ and really like the UI of SA9.  I
tried SA2003 a few years ago, but that was when they changed the UI,
and it stunk.  I need a more up to date program, so yesterday my MS
Streets and Trips 2005 came and i loaded it into my 1998 Dell laptop.
Interesting new gadget from Vector Electronics20 Dec 2004 15:34 GMT1
A couple of days ago I got close enough to the local mall crawl scene to
smell the buyer.panic.  I noticed that a new boating store had opened
similar to West Marine (yeah, that's the ticket.  Open a boating store in
the middle of winter.)  Boater's world I think, but I'm not sure.
OT,  Oh Tanenbaum20 Dec 2004 10:49 GMT44
May I prevail upon the collective wisdom of this group to tell me what/who
was/is a "Tanenbaum"?
Is it a Christmas tree?
C'mon.  Oh Tanenbaum, Oh Tanenbaum, with all our hearts we love thee?  I
E-mailing posts to FT rvers20 Dec 2004 05:53 GMT29
There are some new posters who seem to think they are doing people a favor by
e-mailing posts to them. Many of us are full-time RVers, who connect via cell
phone. Our minutes are limited.
My e-mail is very important to me as a means of keeping in touch with friends
Bout car out of state but license in TX20 Dec 2004 05:34 GMT18
We are leaving Amarillo soon.  We will be in Texas in various cities
until end of January.  We want to upgrade the toad from a 97 Civic
Hatchback to a 1999 or newer Odyssey.  After that we head for Florida
and the rest of the country for all of 2005.  It is my understanding
See my Coachmen Class B and my son get his PhD - from Harry19 Dec 2004 23:49 GMT6
Please let me brag a bit. My Dukie son graduated with his PhD on
Thursday from the University of Miami. See him and the Ibis. Also see
his beautiful wife - Robin - an instructor at Syracuse and doctoral
candidate - and my lovely wife - Nancy - a professor at Florida State.
What is towable19 Dec 2004 20:08 GMT5
I thought the Honda Odyssey could be towed with no prep, just the 3
minute Honda routine.  Roadmaster makes a bracket set for it.  But I
was looking for other vehicles in the FMCA TOW vehicles for each year
and I couldn't find reference for the Odyssey.  Can you confirm
Road Conditions - Laredo to Harlingen19 Dec 2004 20:00 GMT2
As badly as I hate to admit it, I haven't really been on ALL the
highways in Texas.  We're going to take a leisurely trip from San
Antonio to Laredo, then Laredo to Harlingen right after Christmas and
was wondering about the condition of Hwy 83 down the valley.  Four-lane,
Streets and Trips 2004 for specific things18 Dec 2004 16:17 GMT15
I have been able to figure how to use much of SA for my travels but
still haven't figured how to make it map by route number, rather than
scenic-fastest, etc.  Like others here, I like to travel off the
Interstates, which means I need SA more than one who drives them only.

Looks to me like we need another thread. Most of these have been
chewed up and spit out enough times. So have a ball (pun) with this
one. By the way my addition to it is : wouldn't it be nice if we had
an answer this simple. But check Snoops.com on this one, it might
MS Update18 Dec 2004 07:02 GMT8
If You get an email that indicates it's an update from Microsoft, don't
open!!  It's nasty virus.

Here's a teaser:

I seem to have offended some people18 Dec 2004 03:06 GMT34
Yesterday, I posted a message intended to speak highly of RVers in general, and
the RVers on this newsgroup specifically. The full text of that message was:

Intellipower Innards18 Dec 2004 01:57 GMT3
Awhile back Bob Giddings entertained us with his Intellipower/Charge
Wizard problems.  The Intellipower finally quit and Bob sent it to me to
do a post-mortem.  It arrived yesterday and I opened it up, having to
drill out pop rivets in the process.
