Why is there so much junk?28 Feb 2005 20:18 GMT29
Why is there so much junk on this site that has nothing to do with RVs?
If I need my soul saved or want to hear political opinions, etc, there
are plenty of other places to go.  Most sites have are moderated to
exclude stuff that isn't relative to the topic.
Be WARE- New Scam28 Feb 2005 17:55 GMT5
Beware - New Scam
This new scam is being pulled mainly on older men. What happens
is that when you stop for a red light, a young nude woman comes up and
pretends to be washing your windshield. While she is doing this
Lifeline 4D AGM Coach Battery28 Feb 2005 17:46 GMT3
The "coach" battery in my Chevy Coachmen Class B is a Lifeline 4D. It is
an AGM battery that is mounted under the sofa. Supposedly - it does not
have to be vented. It is 2.5 years old - and is supposed to have 200 amp
hours of energy. Is there anything I can do to service this ...

Parking Pointing North28 Feb 2005 14:38 GMT6
After planning tilt-ups for my solar panels I ran into a problem. Most
RV'ers with solar panels park pointing east-west with their awning side
towards the south. This is a problem. The north side of their rig never gets
sun so condensation moisture can build up in the walls on ...

We're staying at Sam's Town starting March 6th and then off to the LV Motor
Speedway for five days of NASCAR fun. After leaving the race, we'd like to
stay in town for a few more days. Can someone recommend the OTHER place to
stay?
Battery Capacity28 Feb 2005 06:24 GMT24
What is a good amount of amp hours of capacity to have when
you can't get access to an AC connection and you would prefer
not to fire up a generator?
I ran a few searches for reserve capacity to amp hour conversions
small inverters?28 Feb 2005 04:52 GMT10
Ok, ready to buy a 400 watt inverter to run a TV in my new to me MH.
In order to run my 2 meter transciever I am running a new 12 volt line
straight from the house batteries (required to transmit with no spikes and
stuff).  The specs call for 10 guage stranded wire.  So figure I ...
RE: Border Control28 Feb 2005 04:38 GMT55
(I came back to see if the level of thuggish insult has mellowed:
unfortunately it has not so I'm dropping off this bit of pearly wisdom
then fading back into my mud-filled paradise in La La Land, where
discussions on politics, religion, and general nastiness of spirit and

You were looking at motorhomes.  If I lived in Oregon, I'd be looking
at this one.  What a deal.  :o)

Where to find magnifying glass?28 Feb 2005 04:18 GMT22
Actually, this is RV related.  I started working on my TT today
getting ready for the first spring trip.
I have a few bulbs in my running lights that need to be replaced.  My
problem is that I can't read the numbers printed on the bulbs.
Mileage Charts28 Feb 2005 02:28 GMT148
Are there mileage charts posted somewhere for motorhomes?  I realize
actual MPG will vary depending on driver, loaded weight, headwinds,
etc. etc.; however, there should be an average City and Highway figure
somewhere for each size, style, weight of motorhome.  After all, it IS

Tips for RV Camping - Route 1 North of San Francisco27 Feb 2005 20:57 GMT105
We're renting our first RV and heading north from San Francisco along
Route 1. We're from the Midwest so don't know much about the area and
are looking for suggestions on places to camp, things to see and do and
anything else that might be helpful for beginners.
What Brand of laptop?27 Feb 2005 20:56 GMT85
Said I wouldn't think of buying a laptop until we were close to fulltiming.
Looks like we may be closer than we thought. . .so, what brand? Consensus
seems to be Dell or Toshiba. What processor? We will be using for email,
newsgroups, some internet surfing, and with DeLorme plus ...
